mSCOA Integration

mSCOA Library

This module facilitates the integration with the Financial Management System of municipalities in South Africa. (as per the Local Government Municipal Systems Act No.32 of 2000)

1Overview of Complaint / Incident Management module:
The mSCOA Library (for South African municipalities only) has been developed and programmed to assist with the validation of the financial data imported using a NT upload file. This is a requirement to ensure that the data included in the NT upload file is valid and that it is grouped and reported correctly. Once the data has been validated, the NT upload file will be used to populate the financial reporting requirements of SDBIP Assist
2 The working of the mSCOA Library module:
Risk Assist
  • Step 1

    - The Module Administrator defines all the module setups, Lists to be used and User Accesses;

  • Step 2

    - Users, whom have been granted +New access, are able to add the mSCOA segments;

  • Step 3

    - Users, whom have been granted +Edit access, are able to edit the mSCOA segments;

  • Step 4

    - Users, whom have been granted +Edit access, are able to deactivate the mSCOA segments;

3mSCOA Library Key Features include:
  • The availability of an mSCOA Library.
  • The mSCOA module facilitates the management of data across multiple financial years.
  • The organisation can build the seven (7) mSCOA segments in the module, i.e. Project Category, Function, Item, Fund, Region, Costing, and MSC.
  • The organisation can import data for the seven (7) mSCOA segments.
  • The organisation can export data for the seven (7) mSCOA segments.
  • Functionality for the module administrator to define and manage user access as required by the organisation.
  • Functionality for the module administrator to define all client-specific defaults for the module.
  • Easy, user-friendly update process.

  • High level of organisational customisation in defining module setups to meet the organisation’s specific business requirements.
  • The module assists with the validation of data when integration with the Financial Management System (FMS) is activated.
