Strategic Plan Management

The strategic planning process is very important for any organisation and needs to be carried out before implementing a performance management system

1Overview of Strategic Plan Management Module
The IDP module assists with the management and reporting of the performance requirements included in the municipal IDP. This includes the defining of the Vison Statement, Mission Statement and Value Statement of the municipality before they can start the process on agreeing on the service delivery objectives and outcomes. These will be captured, including the tracking of the various versions, into the Action Assist system to make them available for reporting purposes. The next step is the building on the IDP in the IDP Assist Module.
2 The working of the Strategic Plan Management (IDP) module:
Risk Assist
  • Step 1

    - The process starts by the user creating the IDP on the system. The information captured for each IDP includes the Name of the IDP, the start date (financial year) and the number of subsequent year(s) that should be added to the initial year. ;

  • Step 2

    - The Strategic Plan (IDP) owner will build the Performance Management Framework, the Key Performance Areas (KPAs), Programmes, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Action Assist facilitates the linking of Key Performance Indicators to Expected Outcomes and Projects;
